Supporting nationally significant digital health projects
We support the Ministry of Health to deliver digital health projects as a liaison between the Ministry, Primary Health Organisations and software vendors.
This can be a challenging role, as there are many parts of the puzzle to analyse and connect. But we are fortunate that we can rely on our in-house expertise and strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors to get the job done. Find out more about some of the projects we have worked on below.
Digital Investment Bid 2021
The Digital Investment Bid initiative aims to uplift the baseline maturity of infrastructure and capability across the health sector to a minimum level to enable reform.

NZ ePrescription Service (NZePS)
The NZ ePrescription Service (NZePS) is a secure channel to prescribe and dispense prescriptions electronically.

Telehealth
Patients First regularly supports telehealth initiatives and provides cybersecurity expertise to the Telehealth Leadership Group.
Community Services Card (CSC)
The Community Services Card (CSC) supports the holder and their family by reducing the cost of some health services and prescriptions.
National Immunisation Register (NIR)
The National Immunisation Register (NIR) is a computerised register of immunisation details of New Zealand children.
National Enrolment Service (NES)
The National Enrolment Service (NES) is the single source of truth for all national enrolment data. It supports general practices by assisting with patient identification and eligibility assessments.
